Anxiety: Is There Really A Cure

Unfortunately, there is no cure for anxiety that we can find yet. We know that the symptoms of anxiety are mostly just like those of normal emotions. For example, you feel something is not right, but you cannot really pinpoint why or what caused it.

So the best way to approach it is to try and find the biological causes of anxiety. We know some things about anxiety so let’s start from there.

Anxiety is the result of stress. Stress is a natural and unavoidable part of our life. It happens to every living thing because it is the body’s way of protecting itself from danger. In order to survive in this world, the body has to do this – survive in the presence of danger.

We cannot avoid it, but we can fight it by using our minds and bodies to prevent a strong reaction. We have two forms of defense. One is called the fight or flight, and the other is called relaxation. In stress, your body uses to fight or flight, which is exactly what your mind is saying, “I’m in a fight!”

When you are under stress your heart rate and breathing increase because you used to fight or flight. But when you relax, you’re breathing and heart rate goes down. The body’s response is to reduce blood flow to your muscles, which is why you feel tired and stiff.

Relaxation can be a useful tool in your fight or flight mode. There are many things that cause stress such as work, kids, and even traffic. You can turn it into a positive activity and use it to your advantage. Just make sure you are constantly relaxing at the moment.

When you relax and think about a pleasant memory, that’s the right time to do it. But even if you are stressed out, there is still a way to deal with it. You can choose to ignore it and focus on something else, or you can do some “mind over matter” exercises.

Well, there are exercises that will show you how to relax in an effortless way. You can meditate, take up yoga, focus on positive thinking, etc. Whatever you choose, whatever works for you.

In most cases, you have to figure out how to calm down before you can actually beat the good old fight or flight response. So be aware of that. Although they say that fear is the mind-body reaction to a perceived threat, it is a difficult thing to get rid of.

If you haven’t been able to deal with anxiety by ignoring it, then you should try to go see a doctor about it, especially if you have had a history of panic attacks. Now more than ever before, anxiety disorders are occurring, so don’t delay.

Finding a solution to anxiety isn’t an easy thing to do, but it can be done. Now all you have to do is make sure you are doing your part to combat it and remember to relax and have fun.
